SPA WATER

Water, water, water I know you hear that all the time.  Drink more water.  It's helps with weight loss, it helps flush toxins, it makes your skin glow and so many amazing other things.

We all know that our bodies consist of 70% or so of water and we must replace close to 50% of it everyday.  If you are like me you may find it hard to drink water all day long and I don't eat enough fruit on a consistent basis to get hydration from food.  So I have been trying to get in the habit of drinking water All Day Long.  I try now to always have a jar of water next to me all day to remind me to drink up!
Here are some of my helpful tips to make it a little less boring and reap the benefits of hydrating my body.

1. I use 1 quart canning jars.  They are great because they are measured out for you so you can easily track how much you drink.

2.I fill them to the 3 cup mark on the jar (I have a Brita pitcher to clean our gross tap water)  and add fruits and herbs to flavor the water.

3. I make 4 a night and put in the fridge so they are cold in the morning.  This gives me 12 cups of water.

4. I drink at least 3 a day.  1 in the morning right after my coffee.  1 at lunch time wit my lunch and the last one I sip through out the afternoon and evening.  We do not have an air conditioner so on hot days I drink more. It is nice to have extra made in case.

I am also trying to drink more tea.  I just ordered a bunch of different teas from Yogi tea.  I will let you know how they are. I like to make iced green tea to keep in a pitcher in my fridge if I need a healthy pick me up through out the day.  I used to sweeten with honey, just a little but I am trying to cut out all the sweeteners now.  I am changing my whole diet so now I just add some fresh lemon juice.  This really helps me get through the day when I hit my low around 3 PM.

You are supposed to drink 6-8 cups of green tea a day to get the full benefits of the antioxidants.  Um that sounds like between that and water I might be in the bathroom for a long time.  So I brew my green tea Extra strong.
6-8 tea bags to 4 cups hot water.  Steep covered for 10 minutes.
Pour into pitcher and fill the rest of the way with cold water. I add a lot of lemon juice but you can play with it to your tastes.  Put in the fridge and enjoy over ice.  Yummy!

It has been 3 years since I had my son. I stuggled alot to loose the 76 pounds I gained while pregnant. I still have 20 pounds left to be at a happy weight for my body. I am hopeful that with the additional diet changes and the incorporation of a weekly work out class plus my favorite Mari Windsor Pilates 20 minutes workout a few times a week I will see the results that I want.  Not only weight loss but to be a all around healthy, fit  parent for my son.

XOXOXOXO, Hope.

Sick in July!?!

Hi everyone
I thought I would just write a real quick post letting you know why I have been absent for the last couple weeks. My whole house got sick! In July!  Ugh it was bad.  I knew it was coming since both the little girls that I watch called out the same day........ With different ailments.  Oh man we got a flu and a cold back to back.  First my son them my father in law ( he has lived with us since he retired 5 years ago) and then myself.  My husband is still fighting not to get it but he has been exhausted so I know it is just a matter of time.

I literally spend 4 days in bed while hubby took care of Mason.  Thank God for him.  I still have not even opened my laptop.  I think it has been two weeks.  I am writing this from my phone..... In bed, lol.

I have lots of fun makeup tutorials and reviews I am working on for you all now.  Lots of great summer stuff!
Love you all for reading and subscribing!! Be sure to follow me on Insta, Twitter and Facebook.  Xoxo, Hope

GlamSt Virtual Glam Makeover

I have recently discovered a really cool site.  I have spent hours clicking away not making dinner or cleaning the bathroom.  No, I am not talking about Pinterest, well not this time at least.  The site I am talking about is called GlamST It is a new site that allows you to make a profile and upload a photo of yourself, then with that photo you can play around with different makeup! looks. You can try different brands of foundation, lipsticks, glosses, eye shadows etc.  The neat thing that is cool and different about this site is that once you start to create a look you will find options such as different eyeliner shapes to try out and play around with so that you can virtually see what this would do to the shape of your eyes.  I love it so so cool. When you have finished going through the super easy steps and finished your new GlamST look you can save your photo and then share it with your friends if you choose or you can look at similar looks and try those out.  The site automatically saves the product list for you and gives you the prices of the item.  You have a choice to buy the chosen makeup items if you want to,  All from this one site.  I can already tell I will be doing this a lot.
I tried to upload the before and after but I could not get them to load. You can go see them on my Twitter and Facebook. Go to my menu bar on this page click Contact Me and click the links to my FB and other social sites.  Oh be sure to Click here to try a new look  on GlamST.

I am really liking this site, if you go check it out I would love for you to share your pictures with me.
Please Follow me and Subscribe here at the top right hand corner and also on my YouTube Channel.
XOXOXOXOXO Hope

My Everyday Makeup

This is my Everyday makeup. Meaning it is quick and easy to apply works on everyone and is my go to for almost everything. It seemed like a lot of steps when I was typing it but trust me it only takes 10 minutes once you get it down and if you are organized ( I am working on that!! lol).  I do not put makeup on everyday because I do not leave my house everyday.  I like to let my skin breathe as much as possible.  I list all the products that I use to create this look.  They are a mix of high end and lower end cosmetics.  I obviously love Chanel as all my high end is from them, I did work for them so I received quite a bit of free product from them.  I miss that!!!!  I hope you enjoy this mini tutorial (these pictures are from my birthday yesterday, I turned the big 34). Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

2. Chanel  single shadow in Sand blended lightly into crease from inner corner to outer corner,  making the outer corner slightly darker.

3. Trish McEvoy shadow in Bone.  Blend all over I from lash line to brow bone lightly using it to blend out any edges.  Apply a little more on the lid.

4. Physicians Formula Translucent Pearls 01.

2. Coastal Scents concealer pallet.  I love this pallet!  I use under my eyes and on any spots that need a little extra.  It is thick so use just a little and blend, blend, blend add more if needed.

3. Physicians Formula Translucent Pearls 01 same one I used on my eyes.  I use this on my cheekbones,  in the center of my forehead,  down my nose,  on the cupids bow of my lips and in the center of my chin.  I am obsessed with this product.  Thanks to Kandee Johnson!!

4. NYC Skin Smoothing Bronzer in Sunny
I dust lightly in the hollows of my checks,  along my hair line,  under my chin and down my neck and along the sides of my nose.  I use a huge bronzer brush that deposits very light color and I am super light handed for every day use.

5. NYX Blush in Pinched
Applied on cheeks and lightly  swept into eye crease.

LIPS
(with this look you can wear any color lips you like go bright or go natural)

1. NYX waterproof lip liner in Nude Pink.  This is favorite  lip liner.  The color,  the texture,  the staying power....... Omg Amazing.

2. Bonnie Bell Disney Princess Chapstick in Aurora Spun Sugar.

**Side note**
I love Disney and I love Disney Princesses.  I also love chapstick lol.  So when I found these I had to have them.  OK  I am a bit of a hoarder as well so I bought two packs!

Lastly I always set my makeup with a setting spray. This allows me to not have to use a lot of powder. I usually use the ELF one.  Recently I picked up the NYX Matte Spray.  I have been using that for the last two weeks.  I will have a comparison and review up tomorrow for you.  Thank you for reading this.  I would love to see pictures of your makeup looks!!!  You can Facebook them to me or Tag me on Instagram or Twitter!!  XOXOXOXO Hope.
